TDL 40-Day Journey

Do you not know that your body is a temple* of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.    1 Corinthians 6:19-20

If our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, we need to care for the whole body; spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Join the 40-Day Journey and learn how to build the habit of carving out small periods of time each day that collectively will move you to become more and more Christ-like.

These ten steps can and will help you change your relationship with Christ and together they 

  1. Start each day with the “Heroic Minute,” which includes “The Morning Offering” prayer.
  2. Make your bed every morning if you don’t already.
  3. Review the 7 deadly sins, and choose 1 that you would like to eliminate, then choose the virtue to help you eliminate the vice.
  4. Study, find 15 minutes to read scripture and or a book that will help one grow in holiness.
  5. Create a prayer agenda that supports and inspires you. Include the Rosary or the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Feel free to pray both.
  6. Fast at a minimum on Wednesday and Friday; No two meals can equal a third, no snacking between meals.
  7. Detach from a behavior or a habit that will help bring you closer to Christ.
  8. You must move, take a walk every day, for a minimum of 15 minutes.    a.)Exercise for a minimum of 10 minutes a day.
  9. Maintain a gratitude journal. Every morning and every evening write down 3 things that you are grateful for.
  10. End each day by praying the “Consecration To The Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Train yourself for devotion, for, while physical training is of limited value, devotion is valuable in every respect, since it holds a promise of life both for the present and for the future. 1 Timothy 6:8
